legal agreement

1 - The Billboard Creative recognizes that the artists retain full ownership of each image submitted.

2- By submitting your work, you agree that if selected The Billboard Creative is permitted to use your image on a billboard for the run of the exhibition. This usually is one month and one city but not limited to one month and one city.

3 - Anyone, 18 years and older can submit

4 - If you are under 18 your work must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.

5 - All entries will be reviewed by a curator selected by TBC. The decisions of the curator are final.

6 - You agree that submitted work is yours and you have the right to the submitted work.

7 - You have the right to use all images contained within the work which you have submitted such as stock images.

8 - You confirm that you have been granted permission for anyone portrayed in the submitted, work.

9 - There is no guarantee of display. The number of billboards selected varies from year to year.

10 - The Billboard Creative has the right to use your name and image for promotion and publicity including but not limited to TBC website, newsletter, printed promotional materials, press releases, social media & distribution to press outlets.

11 - TBC has the right to print the name of each selected submitter unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

12 - You confirm that you are the sole copyright owner and creator of the artwork.

13 - To the best of your knowledge, the work does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.

14 - To the best of your knowledge, the work does not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.

15 - If you break any copyright on your submitted work you agree to full responsibility regarding all royalties and fees owed to the person you broke the copyright with.

16 - By submitting to The Billboard Creative you agree TBC can use submitted material for promotions and publicity.

17 - We will do our best to make sure all third parties credit the artists but are not responsible for any mistakes.

18 - The Billboard Creative is not responsible for any images misuse.

19 - The Billboard Creative is not responsibility for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, whether caused by TBC or its vendors.

20 - The Billboard Creative’s primary area of exhibition is Los Angeles but is not limited to Los Angeles. The Billboard Creative retains the right to decide on where the work is displayed. This includes all cities in the United States and potentially multiple cities during the exhibition.

21 - The Billboard Creative does not guarantee site or location of display.

22 - In the unlikely event the billboard is not leased to another party at the end of the exhibition, the work could remain up until the billboard is leased unless agreed upon in writing.

23 - The Billboard Creative works with professional, third-party vendors for leasing, printing, and hanging the artwork. In the unlikely event that the billboard is destroyed, torn, defaced, or damaged TBC will make its best efforts to fix, replace or relocate the artwork. However, TBC is not liable if the work cannot be fixed.
