The work explores bio-formalism through a process of microassemblages that are grown computationally. Techniques of accumulation and formation are developed from an array of observed performances that lead to complex morphology. The work capitalizes on excessive formal articulations. The species series explores the creation of hyper aesthetic entities.The work is grown through varied aggregation at multiplescales. The objective is the production of new systems and organizational methods that represent evolutionary traits. Monica is an Oakland based New York City raised artist and educator. She has been teaching architecture design and theory at numerous colleges since 2000. She has also been developing interdisciplinary architecture curriculum at the high school level since 2015.
